Despite our large number of injuries, we cannot allow aliens to gain a foothold in the senate building. If they gain control of the government, we lose all of our funding.

Squadmembers and weapons
1 Sarah (Dev) Alissa (Dev) Taina (Tox/MS) Matt (Dis/MB)
2 Delaney (Dev) Lane (AC/AC) Lorien (Tox/MB)

Fortunately, both squads entered near each other. We may be forced to retreat from this mission; our goal is to kill as many aliens as possible while avoiding serious injuries. Heavy damage to the building is also to be avoided; having the government become hostile is almost as bad as having it become heavily infiltrated.

Nothing on the motion sensors initially. To conserve ammo, the toxigun users are to hold their fire unless they are needed.

The initial contact is with a couple of hyperworms and a multiworm in the main senate chamber. Since they approached from the opposite hallway, they were not much threat. A second multiworm also attacked, uselessly.

Using a motion scanner to watch the corridor behind them, agents spread out in one third of the chamber to see if any other aliens would approach there. One more hyperworm appeared and was killed, but nothing else arrived.

An oddly small number of enemies was present at the senate building. It is possible they fled there from a nearby building during another battle. If they had been allowed to mature, however, that many worms could have become a nasty force of more advanced aliens.
