Thursday March 30th, 2084

The new UFO deployed aliens into the Superdynamics corporate headquarters.

Squad 2 started on the opposite side of the site from squads 1 and 3.

Planning to meet up in the center, all three squads immediately moved forward. They first spied a Skeletoid flying across the central area and a multiworm on a skyway nearby. The Skeletoid dropped before it had a chance to fire its Devastator cannon, but a hidden alien fired some sort of missile at Hal that began to eat away at his armor, leaving a cloud of smoke behind. Hal stripped off his outer layers and ran back for cover while the rest of his squad ran forward to try and spot the source of the missile. They find a cloaked Skeletoid about the same time that squads 1 and 3 find another. During the firefight, Delaney was also hit by one of these new missiles, losing the armor covering both arms and her head. Fortunately, she managed to dump her gear before her grenades, devastator cannon, or high explosive charges detonated.

Squad 2 is attacked from behind by the multiworm they saw earlier. Taina runs out of ammunition and switches to her stun grapple backup, but at this point multiworms and hyperworms are not much threat. Megan tosses some clips to her after the battle, and squads 2 and 3 begin sweeping the nearby rooms with motion sensors to try and find aliens. The number of civilians running around makes this a little more difficult, but they eventually find a sizeable group of contacts that are moving very little in a second floor restroom of one of the buildings.

The easiest and safest way to handle this would have been to use the high explosive charges a few operative had to blow out the whole second floor, which between the explosion itself and the collapsing ceiling and floor would almost certainly have killed the aliens, but this would probably have pissed off Superdynamics. Instead, Megan went up the lift and waited outside the door while Hal, Taina, and Steve went up the other lift and positioned themselves on the other side of the wall. Hal used his cannon to blow a hole in the wall, taking the aliens there, who were waiting for someone to come through the door, off guard. Megan then moved forward to clean up anything that was left, running right into a panicking Anthropod who was trying to escape. One hit from her power sword, and down it went.
