With the retirement of two of our best operatives, we'll need everyone to step up their game a little on this double infiltration. Our new shields should help smooth over this transition.

Eager to show the aliens what humans can do with shields, our agents immediately moved in towards the center of the building.
They didn't have far to go. Squads 1 and 3, led by Scott, encountered the first spitter and skeletoid, and the rest of the mission resolved as one big firefight. Squads 2 and 4 turned in towards the fight, coming in at a few of the skeletoids from the side.
Thanks to the shields, most of squads 1 and 3 don't even bother taking cover. The only concession they make to all the disruptor blasts and entropy missiles coming their way is to go prone when they start taking hits.
Speaking of entropy missiles, as you can see in the above image, our shields react to and block entropy missiles. The enzymes and acids from the missiles do not affect the shield, so the only damage the shield receives is from the kinetic impact, which is not very significant.
Once squads 2 and 4 reached the combat area, the aliens' doom was assured. The skeletoids taking cover in the air behind the tubes had nowhere to go, and the lower life forms that charged from the lift were no match for X-Com stun grenades, shields, and massed firepower.
