Our agents started out in two groups. Everyone was ordered to aim carefully to avoid having stray shots hit explosive objects, although the floor they started in was fairly open and apparently clear of such dangers.
Squad 1 soon sees some eggs, but can't risk approaching across so much open space due to potentially cloaked aliens. They begin taking fire before they reach cover, but easily reach the relative safety of a nearby wall. A pursuing Anthropod shows up, is hit with a panic psi attack, and killed fairly quickly. Meanwhile, squads 2 and 3 encounter a multiworm and a few brainsuckers, having little trouble dealing with those.
Dave spies the first Skeletoid and simply marches right up to it while firing. Squad 3 turns back towards squad 2 to assist with another approaching Skeletoid that was trying to flank them. With squads 2 and 3 coming down the opposite side of the alien presence, squad 1 began moving back down to cover their end.
With several of the intelligent aliens dead and no others visible, the squads split up again to search for the remainder. Squad 3 spots a panicking Anthropod, probing it to determine if it has a shield, and killing it with toxin darts to finish them off.
Cloaking devices in open spaces are very annoying. This time, the aliens were too disorganized to make use of their advantage. We came close to losing some shields on squad 1, but all were accounted for back at the base.
