Most of our team has returned from the alien dimension, having
accomplished their mission and removed the alien threat.
5/30/2084 2300
Our attacks against the
Cult of Sirius,
Energen, and Transtellar
were very successful, with none of our own vehicles lost. This operation
has angered a few other organizations, but we intend to disband
when our mission is successfully completed anyway (the loss of the power
source for our dimension weapons, shields, armor, security turrets,
and propulsion would make us extremely vulnerable to attacks as
well as eliminate our only remaining source of income).
5/30/2084 0205: Our agents are enroute to the alien dimension. As all of our base defenders are away and may not be returning, we plan to launch diversionary airstrikes at some of the hostile organizations to deter a ground assault on our facilities.
5/30/2084 0200: We are now prepared to send our agents to the Dimension Gate Generator , which is responsible not only for opening the dimension gates through which the aliens can reach us, but also for powering all of the dimension technology, including the vehicles and most of the equipment that we have been manufacturing and using. We are not certain how long the gates may remain up once the generator is destroyed, or how long our aircraft will have propulsion, so this may be a one-way trip.
5/28/2084 0001: The Megapod Chamber is gone and our agents have safely returned to base. We are now planning our attack on the final alien building.
5/26/2084 0000: The penultimate alien building is the Megapod Chamber, where new alien buildings are sprouted and grown until they are large enough to be transplanted to their final location.
5/25/2084 0000: We have destroyed the Organic Factory. Alien gas weapons work very well.
5/22/2084 2200: We may now attack the Organic Factory, which seems to be responsible for growing the alien UFOs. We are going to wait until we have another several alien gas grenades, missiles, and minimissiles, however.
5/22/2084 0100: Our craft report that the alien dimension is empty and that they are returning to the city.
5/21/2084 2300: We can now manufacture Alien Gas Grenades and Alien Gas Missiles for the Marsec Heavy Launcher and Minilauncher weapons.
5/21/2084 1535: Our shipyard was raided by Evonet, but our automated security systems, assisted by the more mobile Hal Milton, easily took care of the problem. Most of our aircraft are currently enroute to the alien dimension to destroy any UFOs gathering there.
5/20/2084 0200: The autopsy of the Queenspawn is complete. Our biochemists, using what they've learned about alien reproduction, now believe that they can suspend a multitoxin in gaseous form that would be both deadly to aliens and harmless to humans.
5/20/2084 0200: Our analysis of the Queenspawn confirms that the aliens cannot reproduce in the conditions present in our dimension. We are now dissecting the Queen for further study.
5/19/2084 0001: We have demolished the Spawning Chamber and captured the alien queen. This hulking creature is difficult to keep alive and takes up our entire containment facility, so our biochemists are making it their top priority rather than focusing on the next building. Our agents continue to improve their teleporter skills, rescuing mind controlled agents, and even luring missiles locked on to them into other alien squads.
We have collected enough equipment in the last few buildings to cover our expenses for a while longer.
5/17/2084 2000: Our next target is the alien Spawning Chamber. If there is an alien queen, as our scientists believe, we will want to capture it alive. Our newest Annihilator, Kami, will be the escort for this mission.
5/17/2084 0150: After they destroyed the Control Center on my birthday, our agents safely returned despite the damage to their ship.
5/15/2084 1800: The next building in the chain is the Control Chamber.
5/15/2084 0001: The Incubator is history. We have paid our bills up for another week, and will likely need to do so at least once more before we finish our job. Our biochemists are hard at work seaching for weaknesses in the next structure.
5/13/2084 1600: The next building in the chain is an incubator for alien eggs and multiworms. Our agents are enroute now.
5/13/2084 0150: Our agents have destroyed the Maintenance Factory, this time using missiles to deal with the large group of skeletoids defending the main area. Alissa has also reached her 100th kill.
5/11/2084 1400: Destroying the Maintenance Factory is necessary to make the remaining buildings vulnerable to attack.
5/11/2084 0500: We have analyzed the alien Vehicle Teleporter and determined that it is useless. Shields make for a much more effective defense.
5/11/2084 0000: Our agents have returned from a successful assault on the Alien Farm, though it has taken a large chunk out of our toxin ammo stockpiles and made a fairly sizeable dent in our vortex mine supply.
5/9/2084 1900: The Kerensky is now fully equipped and ready for combat.
5/9/2084 1500: Our biochemists believe the Alien Farm is responsible for maintaining the atmosphere of the world in the alien dimension. We are sending Synergistic Paradigms and Scratchy through a gate to attack it immediately, before the aliens can build more ships.
5/9/2084 0600: We have finished our latest Annihilator, the Kerensky. All of our workshops are now busy manufacturing Bio-Trans vehicles for sale, ammunition for toxiguns, armor for agents, personal shields, vehicle shields, and vehicle weapons while we wait for the biochemists to finish analyzing the next building.
5/9/2084 0200: Our aircraft have returned. To fix our funding issues in the short term, we have sold 40 personal teleporters for a total of around $725000. To bring in additional cash, we are now manufacturing Bio-Trans vehicles for sale.
5/8/2084 1500: According to a message from Synergistic Paradigms, alien air power in the alien dimension has not recovered significantly from our last attack. In addition to eliminating the alien craft, they accomplished their mission in the food chamber and saved enough sectoids to greatly improve our reputation with the Mutant Alliance.
5/7/2084 0300: We are sending our fleet, including Synergistic Paradigms, Itchy, Scratchy, Fluffy, Pinky, Inky, and Sue back through the gates to attack UFOs and bring down the food chamber. As an experiment, we have built several disruptor multi-bombs and armed fluffy with one multi-bomb launcher in addition to two medium disruptors.
5/6/2084 0200: We can now equip cloaking fields on our vehicles. Unfortunately, these devices are quite large, so we will likely not use them to protect our transport.
5/4/2084 1400: Our scientists have determined that the next alien building is responsible for food production. We will be able to attack it once our agents have recovered.
5/3/2084 1900: Our physicists have finished analyzing the stasis bomb launcher. Our second Annihilator, Scratchy, is now armed and ready.
5/3/2084 0700: Our agents report the successful destruction of the sleeping chamber. No agents were killed, though Kramer and John took serious wounds, and we lost Clyde and Blinky to a bomber before the dimension probes could get out of range.
5/2/2084 0830: Our dimension probes have been repaired. We are now sending all of our dimension gate capable craft to the alien dimension, this time with most of our active agents, to assault the first alien building.
5/2/2084 0600: We can now adapt the Disruptor Multi-Bomb for use with our vehicles.
5/1/2084 1000: Learning that the new alien device that we have been finding recently is a Personal Teleporter explains a lot of strange occurances in our recent missions. We are confident that we can put this tool to better use than the aliens.
5/1/2084 0900: We have captured the battleship, however, some aliens may have escaped into the city.
5/1/2084 0835: An alien escort and battleship have entered Megacity airspace. None of our ships have returned from the alien dimension, so it will be mostly up to Huey, Dewey, and Louie to repel them. One group of aircraft will engage the escort, hopefully bringing it down before it reaches the battleship to prevent any aircraft from getting immobilized in heavy disruptor range. The escort was far too quick for this, but we still destroyed it and brought down the battleship before much damage was done, at least to any organizations that we care about.
5/1/2084 0030: Our ships in the alien dimension report success. They have destroyed several alien craft and are returning home. Their mission report is available here. We have also sold a lot of surplus equipment to cover our expenses.
4/30/2084 0000: We have sent Itchy, Pinky, Inky, and Fluffy through the dimension gates on a scouting mission to the alien dimension. They will scan the area to determine the strength of the alien fleet, take out any ships they can, and return.
4/29/2084 1100: Our first annihilator, Itchy, is fully equipped and is charging shields for combat. The vehicle section has been updated.
4/29/2084 0037: A wave of scouts and probes came through the gates, but only lasted a few seconds. Not a single one managed to so much as crash land.
4/28/2084 0800: Our scientists can now reproduce Large Disruption Shields. These will be perfect for the annihilators.
4/28/2084 0500: We can now manufacture Toxin-C, which is specifically engineered to kill Micronoid parasites. Now we just have to find some manufacturing time to work on it.
4/28/2084 0450: Hal and Laney repelled an attack on our Shipyard.
4/28/2084 0100: We have finished developing an advanced fire control system.
4/27/2084 1837: There wasn't much resistance at the park.
4/27/2084 1835: Our headquarters was unwisely attacked by Sanctuary Clinic. We suspect some aliens may have escaped to their facilities anyway, so we will mount punitive 'investigations' at random Sanctuary facilities.
4/27/2084 1200: We now understand the true nature of The Real Alien Threat. Now that we better understand the nature of the Micronoid parasites, we are developing a new type of toxin specifically engineered to destroy them.
4/27/2084 0707: A wave of scouts and fast attack ships were repelled. We're not certain if all of them were destroyed before transporting aliens into the city, but it is unlikely that more than one ship was successful.
4/26/2084 0900: We've finished studying the alien Disruptor Bomb Launcher. We are now working on an advanced weapon control system.
4/26/2084 0102: Some aliens managed to sneak into a Superdynamics factory and the eastern Evonet sewage works somehow. They have been dealt with.
4/26/2084 0100: Our scientists have finished examining the Type-8 Alien Escort Ship.
4/25/2084 2330: Nutrivend's shopping mall and GM's car factory have been cleared of aliens, but GM is once again hostile. It is difficult to avoid pissing GM off when every stray shot can hit something that explodes when sneezed on.
4/25/2084 2328: The mission to clear the assault ship was nice and clean. We recovered a lot of gear there. The mission to clear the destroyer was... not so clean, but accomplished with no injuries, at least.
4/25/2084 2326: A wave of destroyers and a transport has dropped aliens in the city. The gates jumped a large distance away from their previous positions, preventing us from reaching the ships in time to stop them. Only one destroyer escaped being shot down by our defending craft, however.
4/25/2084 2000: The Psimorph autopsy is finished. Our biochemists are now using what they've learned to determine what the true goal of the invasion is.
4/25/2084 0600: Our biochemists have finished with the live Psimorph, and are now starting in on its corpse. Our physicists have also finished studying the Type-10 Alien Mothership.
4/25/2084 0055: We repelled a Diablo attack on our headquarters. Joseph and Marcus killed most of the attackers, holding the entrance until another squad could arrive.
4/24/2084 1600: Fluffy is now fully armed, shielded, and ready for combat. The manufactorium is now working on a second heavy disruptor for our Annihilator fleet and some disruptor suit parts.
4/24/2084 0805: Our first Retaliator class heavy escort, Fluffy, has completed its maiden flight. It is currently awaiting completion of its third small disruptor shield at the Manufactorium. Armed with three medium disruptors, Fluffy carries more firepower than anything else in our fleet, and has an unlimited supply of fuel and ammunition. It isn't as agile as our supercharged Hawks, however, which are still my best overall Megacity defense aircraft.
4/24/2084 0708: The second UFO is captured.
4/24/2084 0706: We have captured a new type of alien from the type-10 UFO. That was a difficult mission, but we still need to deal with the mothership's escort, another unknown craft.
4/24/2084 0706: Another new type of UFO has been spotted and shot down, along with one of the small, cloaked escort ships that we had been unable to bring down before. Whatever they were trying to do, they did not succeed. The ship did take quite a beating before going down, resulting in quite a bit of damage to the city from stray shots.
4/24/2084 0500: Our biochemists have finished going over the readings of the Sleeping Chamber, the first building in the chain in the alien dimension. We could now send a group to attack it using Biotrans-1, but despite how durable it is, a combination of stasis missiles and heavy weapons would easily bring it down before it could reach the relative safety of the building entry port. We need escort craft that can penetrate the dimension gates.
4/24/2084 0000: We have received our funding for the week. Unfortunately, this may be the last time, as the government now has a negative balance and cannot continue to fund us. We will most likely have to provide our own funding from here on out.
4/23/2084 0800: Our scientists have finished designing the Annihilator. Properly equipped, our scientists believe this ship is a match for even the alien battleships in power, while possessing much more speed than the large alien craft.
4/23/2084 0200: We have finished studying the Heavy Disruptor Beam we recovered from the crashed battleship. It is far too large for any of our current ships, but our scientists are in the final stages of designing a class of aircraft that can mount it as their primary weapon.
4/23/2084 0105: Some aliens made their way to Appliances Two, across from the Megatribe Warriors Astrodome. A small squad dealt with them. During the operation, one of the aliens simply vanished completely; it is possible that this may be related to the new device we recently found.
4/22/2084 2218: A thorough investigation of the first infiltration site revealed that destroying the UFO, even at the very end of the transport cycle, caused the transport beam to fail. As a result, we only had to deal with two groups of aliens (and one group of security). The Megatribe Warriors Astrodome was extremely easy to clear. Joseph and Eric handled that more or less on their own. The Garden of Delights was a much more significant challenge for a team of five, although by employing large amounts of fire our agents were able to drive back and destroy a large and fairly well equipped force.
One of the anthropods had some new kind of device. We did not see any evidence of it in action, but our scientists are examining it now to determine what it does.
4/22/2084 2216: A group of probes and scouts arrived and managed to deploy two or three groups into the city. Only one managed to escape back through the gate. Most were shot down, after dropping their cargo, but one was destroyed near the end of its transport cycle. We will assume that the transport was successful.
In any case, scouts do not hold very many alien infiltrators, so this should not be terribly difficult to clean up.
4/22/2084 0800: We have completed an autopsy of the Megaspawn we captured.
4/22/2084 0700: We have invested in Marsec, GM, and SuperDynamics to bring each of them up from unfriendly or hostile to neutral. From GM, we bought a tank, from Marsec a third Hawk Air Warrior, and from SuperDynamics some new antigravity engines for a few of our hovercars and the two Hawks that needed engine upgrades. We still have a significant amount of cash to spare.
4/22/2084 0605: The two field tests of our new equipment were very successful. Between the cash brought in from the sale of 80 personal cloaking devices and the cash from the psiclones we took from the Temple of Humility and the Temple of Doom, we have gained a great deal of spending power.
4/22/2084 0000: All of the base facilities previously under construction have been completed, though we are still far from fully staffing our workshops. We are nearly ready to test a pair of disruptor-suited, cloaked, shieldless agents in the field.
4/21/2084 2200: We can now use Personal Cloaking Devices. We can now use and duplicate nearly every piece of alien technology we have encountered so far.
4/21/2084 1400: We have finished analyzing the type-9 Alien Battleship. Our scientists have some new ideas on developing another type of attack craft, one that can mount the massive disruptor we recovered from the battleship. They are working on this new ship class now.
4/21/2084 0800: We have finished studying the live Megaspawn, much to the relief of everyone within a city block. To summarize the report, the megaspawn is a big, scary monster with no obvious weaknesses. We are now performing an autopsy.
4/21/2084 0502: The recyclotorium we inexplicably own was attacked by a pair of Osiron hovercars. The first crashed into a collapsing section of the building, and the second was destroyed by our Hawks.
4/20/2084 1755: We cleared the Marsec warehouse and the Sanctuary Clinic apartments of aliens. Unfortunately, we had to pay off Marsec for some minor damage to the building. The city should now be clear of aliens until the next group of UFOs arrives.
4/20/2084 1752: We have taken the second UFO. Steve Kramer has 99 kills and is very close to being the first to break 100. In total, we have terminated over 1000 aliens, yet there appears to be no end in sight. We still have aliens loose in some Marsec warehouses, and in a sanctuary clinic building somewhere as well. Because of our tenuous relations with Marsec, we will be going in there with somewhat less firepower than we've been using recently; with no launchers of any kind. To compensate for this, a few agents with the best reflexes will be armed with toxiguns.
4/20/2084 1751: We have captured the destroyer.
4/20/2084 1750: Our Hawks and Hovercars have shot down a transport and a destroyer, and damaged one of their escorts. The destroyer managed to put some aliens down in a Marsec warehouse, so we have a few ground missions to do.
4/20/2084 1730: A bet between Taina and Scott involving a mind bender and some alien entertainment modules on display at the New Smithsonian has resulted in Taina insisting her name is Steve Kramer, that this is the year 1999, that Megapol armor is a Power Suit and that laser rifles aren't useless.
4/20/2084 1710: Hal and Laney defeated another attack on our shipyard. This one was more serious than usual, as the attackers had some shields and heavy explosives as well as disruptor weapons and large numbers. We are still building the first prototype full disruptor suit for testing, as well as the first prototype retaliator.
4/20/2084 0000: Our dimension probe has returned to the city and is heading home for repairs and to be sold. Though it has a weapon mount that can carry a light disruptor and it is fairly quick and agile, we believe it will have the same problem as the jetbikes and be killed too quickly by alien missile weapons to retreat for repairs.
4/19/2084 1500: Our first Biotrans has been built and transferred to headquarters. While heavily armored, it is not an effective combat craft due to its light armament. It makes a very effective troop transport, however, so our Hawks can now be dedicated full-time combat craft.
4/19/2084 1445: We have recovered the UFO in a difficult fight, and have captured a megaspawn as well. We have changed research priorities to the megaspawn and the heavy disruptor we pulled from the UFO wreckage.
4/19/2084 1441: We have shot down a type-9 UFO. While we dropped its shields very quickly, many of our weapons had no effect on its armor. It wasn't far from escaping through the northwestern dimension gate, on the opposite side of the city from its entry gate. Our agents are gearing up to assault the crash site and possibly capture some new alien lifeforms or devices. Because of the size of the UFO, it is expected that there will be a very large number of aliens, so our agents will be primarily armed with devastator cannons except for the androids, which will carry toxiguns, stunning gear, and six extra toxin-B clips each.
4/19/2084 0800: We now have a basic understanding of the alien dimension and a general plan on how to proceed once we can insert a team inside. The concentration of enemy craft appears far too high to attempt this as soon as our first dimensional transport is done, however. Our biochemists are now taking a closer look at the first building in the chain so our agents will know how to proceed once there.
4/18/2084 1100: Our dimension probe is complete and has taken a trip to the alien dimension. There were a lot of ships there, but only one of the large ships we saw earlier today, though it is possible that another could be enroute to the city. Our physicists are now analyzing the data transmitted by the probe while it was away.
4/18/2084 0412: Two new types of UFOs have appeared, designations type-8 and type-9. The type-8s are small, quick, and cloaked, and appear to be another type of escort craft, like the fast attack ships. The type-9 is huge, much larger than any of the UFOs we've seen before, and has a very powerful beam weapon. One of our hawks tried to lift off near the UFOs entry point and was forced to land or lose shields before it could get clear of the launch tube. The shields on the type-9 were not especially strong and such a large target is easy to hit, but it fled once the shields were low and we could not come close to shooting down any of the the three ships. The surveilance footage is available here. We do not believe any of the UFOs accomplished anything due to the quick retreat of the type-9.
4/18/2084 0100: We have completed research on vortex mines and can now use these powerful explosives in combat.
4/17/2084 1055: Transtellar attacked our shipyard, whose defenses are still partially down due to construction, but Hal and Laney easily handled it.
4/17/2084 1015: Energen sent out a request for assistance at their corporate HQ (still being rebuilt from the last time we engaged UFOs). There was not much resistance from the aliens there.
4/17/2084 0305: Our new Hawk Air Warrior and Hovercar have arrived. This should help our anti-air capability quite a bit.
4/17/2084 0030: Week 7 has begun. We have secured another moderate funding increase due to our performance, and our income from government funding still exceeds our maintenance costs. Our advanced workshops are complete, and we've hired every available engineer in the city to work on them. Unfortunately, that still leaves us understaffed, but we have started on a Dimension Probe and a Bio-Transport. The aliens that escaped from the water treatment plant are still at large, but I intend to ignore them for now. A summary of our score and funding can be found in the weekly status section, here.
4/16/2084 0535: We used the transport drop site at the Extropians' HQ as a little training mission for some of the newer agents, to give them an opportunity to get in some practice.
4/16/2084 0531: We cleared out the water treatment plant, lost no shields, and actually recovered one.
4/16/2084 0530: Another group of UFOs, identical to the last one, entered Megacity very close to their drop targets. Since these smaller craft only seem to deploy one team each anyway, we let them go to avoid damaging city buildings. All agents wearing Marsec flying suits are now wearing disruptor leg units, providing them with greater protection for even less weight in that area.
4/15/2084 1700: We can now manufacture and use Dimension Missiles and the dimension missile launcher. While only somewhat more powerful than the Marsec HE missiles, the dimension missiles also have a greater rate of fire, longer range, and more maneuverability. Plus, if we run out, we can manufacture more.
We don't have a huge stock of the missiles, but we do have plenty of launchers. After selling half, we have 6 left.
4/15/2084 0300: Study on the Dimension Missile Launcher is complete, though we still need to examine the missiles themselves before we can use it.
4/14/2084 2200: We have finished designing a new security station utilizing disruptor turrets instead of the old Elerium-based plasma turrets. We have started replacing our current set of security stations with these in all bases; however, until they are all finished our security will be seriously weakened against raids.
4/14/2084 1725: Psyke raided our still-under-construction shipyard after we refused to pay them 'protection money', but their agents were no match for Hal and Delaney, who are still assigned there for base defense. We retaliated by destroying one of their vehicles.
4/14/2084 0000: We have finished designing the Retaliator-class interdimensional attack aircraft. Properly equipped, this ship should be capable of going head-to-head with just about anything we've seen so far. Unfortunately, we are still waiting on the large workshops we need to build it and other craft like it.
4/13/2084 1535: We have killed the aliens infesting the Megatribe Warriors stadium.
4/13/2084 1300: We have located the Sanctuary Clinic aliens in Phoenix Sanatorium, killed them all, and killed all but one of the guards there. We stunned him and let him live to remind Sanctuary why it would be a very bad idea to launch raids against us. We didn't do too much damage to the building. Every squad saw action in this engagement.
4/13/2084 1200: Both ships have been captured. The destroyer was the most difficult, with a lot of cloaked aliens firing dimension missiles. The transport was much less dangerous, as it had a much weaker crew, agents had more time to spread out initially, and we were testing the use of boomeroids in defending UFO exits.
We are starting production of disruptor armor leg units, to take advantage of their enhanced explosive protection against boomeroids and other mine-like explosives. We estimate it will take 7.5 hours to build each unit, so the initial run of 15 will take four and a half days. Finally, we have discovered some alien infiltrators in Sanctuary Clinic and the Gravball League who must have made it down from the last two UFOs. We will begin searching for them shortly.
4/13/2084 0800: A weak group of UFOs, composed of a destroyer, a transport, and two escort craft was intercepted today. The escorts escaped through the nearest gate once the other ships went down.
4/13/2084 0745: S.E.L.F. launched another raid on our headquarters today. While they engaged our automated security stations, the three on-duty squads surrounded their position and wiped them out.
4/12/2084 2300: Our analysis of the UFO type-7 Alien Bomber is completed.
4/12/2084 1100: We can now build and use the hopping alien proximity mines that our agents have been calling boomeroids. By selling 128 of these, we've freed up some storage space and added $107520 to our available funds. We are almost ready to begin production of Disruptor Armor, which is lighter and stronger than Megapol armor and especially resistant to explosives.
4/12/2084 0700: We have finished studying the Alien Assault Ships that we have been seeing so much of lately. Our biochemists are also finished with the Micronoid Aggregate Autopsy.
4/12/2084 0000: Our order for another three hovercars has arrived. Two of them are being armed with janitor missile launchers while the other is being armed with bolter 4000 lasers. No aliens have been sighted in the city since the last wave of UFOs, so we must have brought down the transports before they could drop any.
4/11/2084 1502: We have captured the second UFO. Aliens seem to be carrying shields less frequently, and are relying more on cloaking devices, so returning to our old ambush tactics may be more effective at preserving our shield stocks.
4/11/2084 1501: We captured the first UFO, but very few aliens were carrying shields. I may as well have just swept in with devastator cannons and explosives, and saved my toxin ammo.
4/11/2084 1501: A pair of alien carrot ships escorted by a pair of bombers emerged from the dimension gates. One of the carrots arrived through the southwest gate alone, and was quickly shot down while the portion of our fleet stationed in the northeast part of the city attacked other carrot. The disruptor multi-bombs continue to devastate our hoverbikes, and though our northeastern group was driven off, the southwestern group, led by our Hawk, was able to finish off the second carrot. See 0:22 - 0:25 for a disruptor multi-bomb split.
Everyone except Eric is available for the ground assault on these UFOs. Our main objective is to collect as many disruptor shields as possible, both personal and vehicle size. We are low on spares for both of these, and will likely need to add a few more shielded hovercars to replace the obsolete jetbikes being lost.
4/11/2084 1100: We have completed designs for our Explorer, aircraft, based on alien dimension technology.
4/11/2084 0415: We have repelled a raid by S.E.L.F. agents with no casualties and the loss of one shield.
4/11/2084 0000: The city is still clear of any alien presence. We have hired another skilled physicist, and our physics labs are finally fully staffed.
4/10/2084 1300: Our Biochemists have finished studying the Micronoid Aggregate that we captured on the 8th. They are now examining the remains of a dead aggregate.
4/10/2084 1043: Eric was injured capturing the second UFO due to an inconvenient popper, but he is expected to recover. He acquitted himself well despite his injuries, scoring his first three kills. Our agents made quick work of this one; all hostiles were terminated within 35 seconds of deployment.
4/10/2084 1042: A group of bombers and fast attack ships came through the gates and started firing on the city, rather than trying to beam aliens in. We brought down two of the fast attack ships, and nearly got all three. We came close to losing a lot of shields capturing the first UFO. Hopefully we'll be able to replace a couple of the shields when we attack the second UFO.
4/10/2084 0700: Lindsey has not been going on missions recently due to what seemed to be a psionic illness contracted in the psi-gym. In actuality, Lindsey's mind was assaulted by the remnant of Julia's consciousness, which we had thought was destroyed. Instead, she had used the equipment in the psi-gym to maintain cohesion and jumped into Lindsey's body when she had overexerted herself training and was too weak to resist. They have apparently decided to share the body for now, with Julia taking control during all X-Com missions.
4/10/2084 0500: We have completed our study of the Alien Destroyer and are now working on designs for another interdimensional craft.
4/9/2084 1200: We have finished designing the Bio-Transport, essentially an interdimensional airborne APC. Although it can only carry four agents in its stock configuration, it has room for 8 2x2 equipment modules, such as passenger modules. We are now studying some of the more advanced UFOs that we have encountered.
We have hired another pair of quantum physicists to assist with our research, and have begun hiring engineers in preparation to staff the advanced workshops we are building.
4/8/2084 1955: We have purchased another warehouse and transferred Hal and Delaney there for defense while the security stations are built. We have also started building some living quarters, storage, and two Advanced Workshops there.
4/8/2084 1300: The remaining aliens had actually made it as far as the Iliad Institute. There were only two left, so it wasn't much of a fight.
We have finished desiging an Advanced Workshop for our bases and started constructing one in the Manufactorium. It will take nine days to finish, however. In the meantime, our main lab will work on desiging an interdimensional transport craft.
4/8/2084 1110: We cleared out two more buildings, but it looks likely that aliens managed to sneak back into Bosch Institute, so we'll have to go back there again.
4/8/2084 0826: We cleared the Bosch Institute without any casualties, despite the new weapon a few of them were equipped with.
4/8/2084 0825: The investigation of the Nightingale Tower went smoothly, but we already have an alert from the nearby Bosch Institute building and signs of alien infestation in the nearby Megatribe Warriors Astrodome and in another one of the nearby Sanctuary Clinic buildings.
4/8/2084 0756: The capture of the UFO went well. Please read the linked report before continuing.
We've never encountered anything quite like the alien we captured; it clearly does not have anything resembling a brain, yet it is psi-capable. Our biochemists are already researching it. We've already used up over half the missiles we acquired from the temple, but they were well-spent in the last mission. Our agents have developed well over the past 5 weeks; some of the humans have nearly perfect accuracy with their weapons, even when firing on full auto or walking. We still have to deal with the aliens in Nightingale Tower and the Sanctuary Clinic security forces there, but I doubt they will cause us much trouble.
4/8/2084 0755: A group of UFOs emerged from the dimension gates, with two assault ships and two bombers this time. Our newly shielded Hawk and Hovercars intercepted the bomber , bringing it down before it could rendevous with the other ships. The assault ships both dropped their passengers in Nightingale Tower, in the far northeast corner of Mega-City, so it is unlikely that we could have stopped both of them even if we scrambled everything to go after them.
We'll collect the bomber first, then clear out Nightingale Tower.
4/8/2084 0100: We have completed research on Alien Fast Attack Ships, the purple Type-3 UFOs that we haven't encountered in some time. Since we have a rather large stockpile of them, the small lab will begin studying the hopping alien proximity mines we call Boomeroids.
Another four quantum physicists have applied for a job with us, and all four of them are quite skilled. They are now assisting the Manufactorium lab with new armor designs.
4/7/2084 0800: We have finished designs for the Dimension Probe, an unmanned craft based on alien dimension technology which should be capable of making the transfer through the dimension gates. We cannot build one of these without a larger, more advanced workshop, so we are researching advanced workshops now.
4/7/2084 0300: We have completed research on Alien Transporters, the purple Type-3 UFOs that we haven't encountered in some time. The small lab is going to move on to Type-4 UFOs for now.
4/7/2084 0001: Steve and Sarah volunteered to raid the Cult of Sirius. They didn't find anything particularly valuable, but Sarah did end up with a large supply of HE missiles for her Marsec Heavy Launcher.
4/6/2084 1700: We have completed research on Small Disruption Shields for our vehicles. As planned, we have started work on the Dimension Probe design. An unexpected benefit of the shield research is the possibility of a new type of armor, lighter than the Marsec flying suits and stronger than Megapol armor, though incompatible with our elerium gravity wave flight system. We have switched the new lab over to researching this while the small lab continues analysing the type-3 UFO.
We have recalled our remaining four hovercars to base to be fitted with the new shields. We have just enough to fit each of our cars with one and our Hawk with three (leaving space for the missile evasion matrix). We do not currently have access to a workshop large enough to manufacture more shields, so our only source for replacements will be UFOs. Because vehicle shields take time to charge, our Hawk will have to remain in its combat loadout when not being used to transport.
The aliens still in the city appear to be dying out. Things are definitely looking up.
4/6/2084 0225: Our base has come under attack by Evonet forces. They really aren't much threat; our plasma security stations hold them off until agents armed with devastator cannons arrive to clear the remainder out. Damage to our base was minimal.
You'd think they would at least have the sense to bring missile launchers.
4/6/2084 0122: This must have been one of the types we encountered before; the crew was small and did not contain any Skeletoids, so cleanup went fairly quickly even though we were still unable to actually enter the UFO.
4/6/2084 0121: Another 5 UFOs came through the gates. This time, the aliens didn't bring any of their normal transport ships, and didn't appear to deploy any infiltration teams. After we knocked down one ship, we started to pull out due to damage to our main craft and the ineffectiveness of our weapons against the bomber types. While we were withdrawing, however, the aliens began to target a couple of the nearby buildings, which brought Government and Nutrivend craft into the battle on our side. If our Hawk hadn't sustained heavy damage at this point, we might have turned around to try and bring down one of the bombers. As it was, the terran craft chased the aliens back through the gate without our help.
4/6/2084 0000: Our new quantum physics lab is online, and the three scientist there are studying the type-4 UFO. As hiring quantum physicists has been fairly difficult, I'm considering transferring the physicists from the small lab in our headquarters to the Manufactorium to speed up projects undertaken there. I would prefer to just hire more personnel, however.
4/5/2084 1930: We have finished research on Alien Craft Control Systems our scientists are now ready to begin designing an exploratory craft that can survive travel through the dimension gates, based on alien technology. Since this will probably take some time and I don't want to delay the shield research, I'm assigning the small lab to additional UFO research and will assign the large lab to this new dimension probe design when our shields come on-line.
4/5/2084 1600: We sent James in a bike to pick up our new toxiguns, and started that workshop building new clips. We may soon be far enough ahead in toxin-B clips to make some other things.
4/5/2084 0515: Alien presence at the Cyberweb HQ was fairly light. They are probably spread somewhat thin in that area of the city. There was no sign of any multiworms or hyperworms, so the initial group of aliens these originated from are probably beyond that stage of their life cycle.
We are buying a couple of Missile Evasion Matrix devices from Cyberweb to help protect our Hawk from alien missiles, at least until shields become available.
4/5/2084 0510: Cyberweb has sent out an alert, requesting X-Com assistance with an alien presence. We will be sending a full team, with one exclusively toxigun-equipped squad as searchers to try and acquire more shields.
4/5/2084 0130: The UFO assault was no problem. We also located one of the stray alien squads loose in the city and eliminated it. Our new workshop is completed and staffed, and is working on putting together another pair of toxiguns. We have also hired a few quantum physicists who will start work in their new lab tomorrow.
4/4/2084 0400: UFOs sighted. Two assault ships and two bombers. One of the assault ships emerged from the southern dimension gate alone; our craft converged on it and blew it out of the sky, sustaining one casualty from friendly fire. By that time, the other assault ship had joined the bombers over in the eastern part of the city. Since hoverbikes are quickly ripped apart by the area-effect disruptor multi-bombs carried by bombers, our hovercars and hawk moved to intercept the second assault ship alone. Fortunately, a small group of Megapol cars had engaged the bombers and assault ship, which helped to distract their fire and reduce their shields. Even then, our Hawk was badly damaged and forced to retreat after firing a few shots. Our remaining hovercars were able to stop the assault ship just as it was about to escape the city, leaving it vulnerable to ground assault.
We did not see any aliens beam down into the city this time, although it is possible that the second assault ship may have been able to deploy some while we were not looking.
4/4/2084 0000: No UFO incursions were detected on Monday, but reports show that aliens, either escaped from previous missions or missed entirely, are continuing to spread through the city.
4/3/2084 1600: The arms factory mission went well, although it could have gone the other way easily. In any event, Marsec is not yet hostile and we have no casualties. We have finished researching Medium Disruptor Beams, which are significantly more powerful than even our best plasma weapons. The only vehicle we have that can mount one is our Hawk, however, but better that than nothing.
We are now able to research small disruptor shields for our aircraft and ground vehicles. Improving our air capability is still our main research priority, so our biggest lab has been assigned to this.
4/3/2084 0040: Our vehicle practice has been interrupted by an alert from Marsec. Aliens have apparently entered their arms factory from a nearby building in the city, and they are requesting our assistance. We must have missed a couple of infestations earlier, as aliens keep popping up unexpectedly.
Marsec is already unfriendly toward us and it is critical that we maintain good relations with them. We are reliant on them for all of our aircraft and a significant portion of our vehicular and personal equipment; without them, we can only purchase GM ground vehicles and Megapol weapons. To make things more complicated, arms factories tend to have lots of things that explode easily, and a chain reaction there would be virtually guaranteed to turn Marsec hostile to us, forcing us to cough up our cash reserves to cover their damages.
4/3/2084 0001: We purchased some additional Marsec armor, incendiary grenades, stun grenades, and all available missiles, selling off our stock of surplus devastator cannons and all of the entropy launchers. With the additional funds we bought nearly a dozen hoverbikes and five pheonix hovercars, several aircraft weapons, and better engines for the Hawk and a few of the cars, which passed their engines down to the hoverbikes, as SD Sports engines fit hoverbikes and greatly increase their speed and maneuverability. This leaves us with about $41000 for the rest of the week's manufacturing, facility construction, and emergency supplies. We also started building a pair of repair bays in the manufactorium, as we will certainly need them if anything is left of our craft after taking on the UFOs, though these will take most of the week to construct.
See the Vehicles page for more information on our fleet.
4/2/2084 2334: We cleaned out the Solmine warehouse with minimal damage and netted another shield or two. Since we have not seen any new aliens in some time, we laid off some of our less efficient biochemists.
4/2/2084 2332: We smashed through the Evonet and alien forces in Cityclean 3 without breaking a sweat, despite all the heat from the burning building and exploding aliens. A tiny little preview for what you'd see when we really do a raid on an organization.
The nearby SolMine warehouse is next. Since I rather like having fuel for my aircraft and energy for my plasma weapons, we'll be putting away the heavy weapons for now.
4/2/2084 2331: Another group of UFOs has invaded the city. Although we were able to drive one back through the gate before it could drop any aliens, we were not able to bring it down, and two other transports deployed aliens in Cityclean 3 and the Solmine warehouse right next to our own Manufactorium. Cityclean 3 is owned by Evonet, which is currently hostile to us, so we will most likely have to fight off their security forces as well as the aliens. On the other hand, that gives us absolutely no reason to attempt to minimize collateral damage...
We're sending all 17 healty agents to hit Cityclean 3 and we are going to burn that place out.
4/1/2084 2340: We have cleared the Senate Building and finished research on Alien Craft Energy Source. We are now researching alien craft propulsion in the small lab.
4/1/2084 2340: Though it is unclear how they got there, perhaps fleeing from the Bosch Institute earlier, aliens have been sighted in the senate building. Obviously, we will investigate immediately to prevent any inteference with our source of funding.
4/1/2084 2155: Another clean mission, this time in Car Two. A very nice change from earlier in the week. This time the rookies got to stretch their psionic muscles a bit, with some very lucky mind controls.
We are starting to run low on stun grenades, but more should appear on the market in a few days.
4/1/2084 2150: Our new rookies, Matthew Batten, Lindsey Jordan, and Matt Staroscik, took part in this mission, providing an unusually detailed mission report for a fairly interesting mission. Lindsey was the only recruit to get a kill, and has been promoted to squaddie.
4/1/2084 2145: Our mission in Cultivator One was extremely successful, with no injuries reported and enough shields captured to replace the ones that burned out. We still have another group of aliens to deal with, however.
4/1/2084 2141: Hal and Corey have retired from active service and have been transferred to the Manufactorium for base defense. Scott is now our only powerful psionicist available for active duty. We should watch for potential new recruits over the next few days.
We don't have time to wait for that now, however. Another group of UFOs has already beamed down 3 infiltration groups. Two of them hit Cultivator One, so we will attempt that one first. We have 12 healthy agents to send; hopefully our new shields will allow us to send a decent sized group to the second location as well.
4/1/2084 0800: We have finished researching Personal Disruptor Shields and our agents will be using them in their next mission. We are now starting to research medium disruptor beams for our aircraft.
Obviously, a rechargable shield will be extremely useful if we can keep them from overloading. As they are rather expensive and time-consuming to manufacture, we will be be mostly relying on shields taken from aliens in combat.
4/1/2084 0000: We have completed research on the Entropy Pod and Entropy Launcher. Unfortunately, entropy pods seem specifically engineered to attack humans only, so they will not be useful against the aliens. Thanks to a full day with no overt alien activity, most of our agents have recovered from their injuries and our supply of Toxin-B has also recovered somewhat.
3/31/2084 0000: We cleared some buildings, leaving all but two agents injured. Our advanced quantum physics lab at headquarters is now on-line, and is continuing the shield research started by the smaller lab. The small lab is now working on UFO power source with a 3-man team. The unusual missiles the aliens have recently been using have been determined to be organic in nature, and our biochemists are investigating this now. Most of our agents are well enough to return to service as of midnight, and have been rearmed. We are still receiving some reports of alien activity within the city, but without investigating every building controlled by the affected organizations (which would hurt our relationships with them), we have no way of locating it.
3/30/2084 1745: Both UFOs have been recovered. We encountered aliens with cloaking devices on both ships. We sold off some additional devastator cannons, disruptor guns, and some random obsolete equipment to restock on what useful equipment was available and to purchase a few new hoverbikes. We have also hired 8 more quantum physicists. Hopefully more will be job hunting next week, as we will need a dozen more to fully staff all of our new facilities by the end of next week.
Assigning our hybrids to combat training is beginning to pay off. Although injuries have been preventing most of our agents from training this week, some of our hybrids have received noticeable boosts in strength, speed, and stamina, allowing them to keep up with our human and android agents and contribute more to each battle. This also allows them to get out of hazardous situations much more quickly than before, which is becoming more important with the arrival of cloaking devices and the aliens' increased use of (and more powerful versions of) explosives. They have also had tremendous improvements in accuracy, which is just beginning to be reflected in their kill numbers.
3/30/2084 1726: Another wave of UFOs attacked. This time we brought down the new class of UFO we have been seeing as well as one of the escorts, although taking down the escort cost us our remaining hoverbikes and heavily damaged our Hawk. At least two vessels beamed aliens into the city, but those will have to wait until we have recovered the craft we shot down.
3/29/2084 0301: We have cleared an Osiron warehouse suspected of housing aliens, although we believe some may have escaped. We also responded to an alert at a Marsec arms factory, but did so much damage that Marsec is now hostile to us. We still have six uninjured agents, though the city isn't clear yet. One benefit of all this activity is that we now have a large number of disruptor guns and devastator cannons that we can potentially sell. Because of this, we have decided to immediately proceed with acquiring our second base and paying off Marsec.
3/29/2084 0000: Cleared the three known infestation areas. Our medical bay has gone from 150% to 110% capacity, with 7 uninjured agents.
3/28/2084 2055: Another wave of UFOs attacked the city, beaming down even more aliens, despite the presence of several Megapol cars attacking them. We must attempt to reduce the effect of this as much as possible. To that end, we are sending agents with the most minor of injuries to assist the healthy agents in blunting this attack. Their orders are to kill as many hostiles as possible, but to retreat from the building if seriously threatened. First they will try to clear the government warehouse that was directly infested by one of the ships.
The Anthropod Autopsy and Brainsucker Pod Examination are finished, leaving our biochemists with nothing to do but sit on their hands while the city falls down on our heads.
3/28/2084 0450: Despite our intention to avoid conflict until we had recovered some of our strength, ignoring an alert in the senate building would likely have done more harm than good. Fortunately, alien presence there was minimal.
3/28/2084 0350: Clearing out the car factory was costly. Though we had no fatalities, most of our operatives are now wounded. Our medical bay is at 110% capacity, and we're using toxin ammo faster than we can produce it. Research on the alien shields is going very slowly. Though we suspect there are at least two other alien infestations, at this time we feel we must wait until some of our agents have recovered before investigating.
Our Biochemists have finished their analysis of a live Anthropod, and are beginning to autopsy it now.
3/28/2084 0200: Due to a sudden increase in pro-alien sentiment within General Metro, we decided to check a GM car factory near the recent alien incursion.
3/27/2084 1945: Matt Metke was killed in action at Appliances Two, Corey was badly injured, and a few other agents received minor injuries. We have already hired a replacement, a hybrid named Matt Metke II, who will be assigned to combat training upon his arrival.
3/27/2084 1942: We cleaned out Cityclean Three with only one major injurty, despite the addition of some kind of energy shield to the alien arsenal. Thanks to Scott, we were able to recover one of these devices, and we consider these our top research priority at this time. Without the new devastator cannons, it is likely we would have sustained significant casualties trying to hammer down those shields with our less accurate and less powerful disruptor guns. We recovered another new piece of equipment, some sort of asterisk-shaped device about the size of a boomeroid, but we do not know what it does yet. Since it is likely we face a similar force in Appliances Two, we will be sending an additional pair of hybrids via hoverbike in an attempt to capture more shield devices. Finally, all agents who are currently using toxiguns will now be using Toxin-B ammunition, which should be more effective against Skeletoids and Anthropods, once their shields have been dropped or destroyed.
3/27/2084 1940: Several UFOs, including a new unidentified type acting as a transport, entered the city and beamed aliens into various buildings. The new vessel only remained for a short time, while the others beamed aliens down into Cityclean Three and Appliances Two. A couple of their escort vessels warped in almost on top of our headquarters, and due to our reduced complement of vehicles and the distance to the transports, we let them go.
3/27/2084 1200: Due to an accident in the reconditioning process, the Matt Metke persona was transferred to Julia's body. Dave has agreed to stay on due some some improvements we will be making in our dental care plan. We have finished researching our live Spitters. We are currently planning to buy this warehouse to set up some additional manufacturing and research facilities.
3/27/2084 0245: This morning, Dave Plunkett attempted to break into the vault and destroy the original copy of his X-Com contract. Presumably, he wished to retire from service with X-Com, which we may disallow due to an exception afforded to us in our government charter. He was caught in the act, and was swiftly "reeducated" in one of our psi-labs. To reinforce the mental conditioning, please remember to call Dave by his new name, Matt Metke. To facilitate this process, we brought in Julia Brazil, a specialist in psionic reeducation techniques, and after evaluating her mental and physical skills, we hired her full-time as an agent. Her strength is a little under par, but her base speed, accuracy, and reactions are all good for a Sectoid hybrid, and her psi energy is well above average.
3/27/2084 0000: After cleaning out Bosch Institute, our agents noticed an increase in alien infiltration levels. Based on past history and the deployment zones of UFOs in the most recent incursion, X-Com agents were dispatched to the Garden of Delights, a procreation park owned by Sanctuary Clinic. Sanctuary clinic has become hostile to X-Com, and our agents had to fight off both aliens and human security guards. The mission report can be found here.
Megacity was quiet for the next couple days, and we completed several research items. Our biochemists have analyzed live poppers and skeletoids, and performed autopsies on both. Our quantum physicists have finished their analysis of Devastator Cannons, which will shortly replace paired disruptor guns on several agents, due to their increased accuracy and damage. Not to be outdone, our engineers have ramped up production of Toxin B ammo (using funds obtained by selling the Sanctuary Clinic guards' weapons) both for use in combat and for profit.
We have begun construction of new living quarters, which will finish before the new advanced quantum physics lab. With that, we can hire another ten quantum physicists to staff the new lab when it comes online, with a few bunks available for new X-Com agents. Due to our excellent performance this week, the government has again increased our funding. We will shortly require a new base to expand in, however, so it is unlikely that we will be purchase any new vehicles unless absolutely necessary. We may recruit one or two new operatives, however, and we have purchased additional ammunition and explosives. Any referrals for additional operatives would be welcome.
Steve Ekholm was promoted to Squaddie after he doubled his killcount in the most recent mission and successfully launched two psionic attacks. Almost everyone has been re-equipped with some new gear - if anyone would like a different loadout, please feel free to request a change. Taina has now hit the 40 kill mark, still behind Hal. Marcus is bringing up the end with only 2 kills to his name - hopefully his new Devastator Cannon will help him catch up.
3/25/2084 0530: Two new mission reports are available, and personnel records are updated. Thanks to Taina and Hal, we have finally captured a live skeletoid. Toxin A is working well against everything we've tried it on, despite our scientists' reservations about using it on advanced alien life forms. We also have several more devastator cannons, which will undoubtedly be useful once they have been researched.
3/25/2084 0336: Personnel Records are now updated with current kills, stats, and planned loadouts for the next mission. Hal is currently in the lead with 40 kills. Taina has shown the most improvement in stats with a 31% increase over her original abilities. Alissa, Taina, and Scott will be trying out the new toxiguns in the next mission. Our list of Available Equipment has been updated and converted to html. Vehicles have been added with the current vehicle loadouts, although our fleet is currently very small right now.
3/25/2084 0336: We brought down a type 3 and destroyed a type 2 during today's attack. The type 3 managed to beam down some aliens before it was shot down.
3/24/2084 2300: We have completed research on Toxin B ammo.
3/24/2084 0700: We have completed research on the Alien Life Cycle and can now research Toxin B ammo.
3/23/2084 1700: We have completed research on the Advanced Quantum Physics Lab. We have started construction, but it will take 8 days (and nearly all of our available funds) to complete it. In the meantime, our physicists are working on the Devastator Cannon.
3/23/2084 0838: The downed UFO was quickly cleaned up with only a single injury reported.
3/23/2084 0836: Another group of UFOs entered the city. One of the type 6 UFOs was unescorted, so we intercepted it before it could drop any aliens. Our weapons are still very effective against their shields, but it takes a while to penetrate the craft's armor. Once the Hawk got to a good distance for long range sniping, its plasma cannons sped up the process quite a bit.
3/23/2084 0000: We have finished construction of the last security station needed to isolate the lift and repair bay from the rest of the base. Our headquarters should be virtually impregnable.
3/22/2084 1300: We have finished our study of a | live alien Chrysalis we captured. We now have sufficient information to research the alien life cycle.
3/22/2084 0900: We have completed research on biological warfare, enabling us to use Toxiguns with Toxin A ammunition. We will begin manufacturing the toxiguns very shortly.
3/22/2084 0400: We have completed research on Alien Propulsion Systems and are starting research on an Advanced Quantum Physics Lab.
3/22/2084 0000: Apparently, we hit the aliens hard enough last time that they decided not to come back yesterday. This has given everyone except Sarah and Dave time to fully recover.
3/21/2084 0500: We have completed an autopsy on a dead Chrysalis. Now that our Advanced Bio-Lab is complete and we've hired more biochemists, we are starting research on biological warfare.
3/20/2084 1300: We have completed an autopsy on a dead brainsucker.
3/20/2084 1050: The power station was heavily infested and our squads were nearly all driven off. We had stunned a Skeletoid, but it bled to death before we could get it back to base. We will bring some heavy weaponry next time.
3/20/2084 1033: The Personnel Records now link to pages for each agent.
3/20/2084 1032: Mission 17 is complete. We have captured the type 6 UFO and encountered a new type of alien, which we have named 'Skeletoids'. They are bipedal aliens capable of using tools and weapons, and appear to have an intrinsic ability to fly, much like the Floaters of the first alien invasion. Like the Anthropods, they are vulnerable to psionic attack and not particularly resilient. Although this UFO was brought down before it could deploy any aliens, another type 6 came through a different gate and beamed a group down on the western border of the city.
3/20/2084 1030: We have traded in our Valkyrie for a Hawk Air Warrior, and shot down a new type of UFO with it. We lost a couple of hoverbikes in the process, but so far our Lancer 7000 heavy lasers, light disruptor beams, and janitor missiles are still capable of bringing down the UFOs. Soon we may have to consider dipping into our elerium supply for our more powerful Lineage Plasma Cannons, which became available this week.
3/19/2084 1800: We have completed research on a live brainsucker and are now performing an autopsy on it's remains. We are also changing from Devastator Cannon research to research on alien propultion systems.
3/19/2084 1720: Taina’s and Megan’s temporary transfer from Megapol as part of our Agent exchange program has been extended indefinitely. Andy Seavy and Dee Bender were participating in a Megapol raid on a residence controlled by the Diablo gang when their police car was shot down by Diablo forces. Megapol has agreed to let us keep Taina and Megan until the current alien crisis has been resolved. Due to the injuries received in our last mission, we would be extremely undermanned without their assistance.
A short surveillance video of the incident was provided by Megapol, and can be found here.
3/19/2084 1600: Our 16th ground mission is completed. The mission report can be found here.
